Selam Bus has introduced the Global Positioning System (GPS) which is a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) that allows our company to determine the current location of buses, the time, and their velocity. All Selam bus coaches use a unique Global Positioning System ( GPS) which enables us to control/eliminate unnecessary idling. GPS allows us to monitor speed and braking patterns thereby saving 5% on tire wear and saving 8% in fuel economy. Since it became fully operational in 1993, GPS has become a widely used aid to navigation worldwide, and a useful tool for map-making, land surveying, commerce, scientific uses, and hobbies such as geocaching. Also, the precise time reference is used in many applications including the scientific study of earthquakes.. |
